Falling leaves, crisp air, pumpkins, harvest, football, apple cider…fall is right around the corner. In order to make the most out of your autumn, create a fall bucket list. To help get you started, here is a list of fun fall activities.

Have a Fall Photoshoot Among the Falling Leaves

Grab a Cup of Starbucks’ Pumpkin Spice Latte

Starbucks famous pumpkin spice latte or should I say PSL is back. Let’s be real, what’s fall without drinking one of these delicious fall treats.

Carve a Jack o' Lantern or Paint a Pumpkin

Jack o’ lanterns have been a fall tradition for centuries. There are so many different ways to carve pumpkins, it's all up to you! If you don’t feel like carving and want something that will last longer try painting a pumpkin this year. Last year I painted pumpkins for a pumpkin carving contest and it was so much fun. Here is how they turned out.

Roast pumpkin seeds

If you choose to carve your pumpkin this year, make sure you save the seeds. Roasted pumpkin seeds are a delicious fall snack and one of my favourites.

Create Your Own Haunted House

Whether it be your whole house or just your garage, creating your own haunted house for neighbours and friends is such a fun activity to do for Halloween. Get creative and use items in your home to create a spooky scare. If you need more decor for your haunted house try your local dollar store for cheap and scary decorations.

Participate in a Costume Contest

I look forward to dressing up in my halloween costume every year. I always try to come up with something different and creative. Whether your costume is a DYI or an awesome costume you found at Spirit Halloween it's always so exciting to participate in costume contests. Bring on the competition.

Have a Horror Movie Night

There is nothing I love more than movie nights when the weather is cool and crisp. Gather up your family or friends and have a scary movie marathon. Don’t forget the popcorn and candy, and try not to get too spooked.

Make the Classic Thanksgiving Meal

Turkey, ham, mash potatoes, pumpkin pie, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, biscuits....the list goes on. It’s the one day of the year that you can’t worry about calories, go all out! Thanksgiving is a great time to gather your family, eat good and come together to celebrate and appreciate what you're thankful for.

Participate in Black Friday or Cyber Monday

A great way to start your holiday shopping early is to participate in Black Friday or Cyber Monday. If you like to shop in person then Black Friday is perfect for you and falls on November 26 this year. If you’re more like me and love to shop online then Cyber Monday it is. Cyber Monday is one of the greatest days of the year for online shopping and this year falls on November 29.

Go on a Hayride

Many farms offer hayrides in the fall to celebrate harvest. This is a great activity to do with your children. Your kids will love visiting farms and riding in the back of a tractor. When you're little, it doesn’t get much better than that!
